This is a digitally modified image from a digital infrared (IR) photograph. A slightly softer feel with a "painterly" look to it. Dreamy yet vivid. I immediately thought of The Brothers Grimm, fairy tales, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, fairies, trolls, dwarfs, fantasy, fables...and the like.
