Description
The Block Island Southeast Lighthouse boathouse / shed photographed using infrared photography. Southeast Light is located on the southeast corner of Block Island on the historic Mohegan Bluffs. This Block Island lighthouse was finished in 1874 and included a main tower measuring 67 feet in height. This lighthouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990 and also designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1997.
The dramatic clouds in the sky help amplify this summertime infrared photo. I added a bit of tilt to the camera for an even more unique and surreal atmosphere. A house looks on from the left as the little red light on the boat house glows.
