The Nubble Lighthouse, located in York, Maine, became operational in 1879. The lighthouse is still operational after all those years. The Nubble is part of Sohier Park on Cape Neddick Point and is bordered by Long Sands Beach. The lighthouse has long been a popular destination for travelers, beach-goers, and explorers alike.
This particular image of mine was photographed in early summer during a cloudy, hazy day. It is a long exposure, black and white, infrared photograph. Surreal and ghostly, yet elegant and smooth. The perfect accent for the beach house, or the lighthouse print collection.
