A St. Maarten palm tree in the capital of Philipsburg. Tropical Caribbean at its best. This image was taken in black and white infrared for a slightly abstract and unique touch. I photographed this tree during a recent cruise to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and Tortola in 2015. I could not help but think of Dr. Seuss when I saw this series of trees. They were something right out of a story book.
