A tribute to those that have Lyme Disease and tickborne illnesses. Such conflict exists in the medical community about these diseases ... "It must be all in your head!" "You can't possibly have Lyme Disease." "It doesn't exist."
Well...it does exist. It's part of my reality. I know because I have it.
This is a set of 4 photographs merged together. A hallway, prescription bottles, a green Lyme ribbon, and a cracked windshield.
"Fine Art America" watermark, in lower right corner, will NOT appear on the actual purchased/physical print, etc.

Better believe I wear that permethrin spray now while in the woods...don't need any other diseases from a tick :(
Joseph Baril
Many do not realize that dog ticks, and dog fleas can transmit Lyme Disease.
Luke Moore replied:
Your comment is greatly appreciated Joseph. The information that the CDC, the public, and the medical community have is so outdated and incorrect... It's not even funny. I hope things will change in the next 5-10 years. I heard they recently found a new tick borne disease they can't identify yet, definitely scary to me. I have Lyme and a co infection called Bartonella and they can't even diagnose or treat those effectively half the time.

This is is a powerful piece... your use of motion blur with the layers of imagery to bring the viewer's eye to the green ribbon is exceptionally well done. You have shown us a fractured reality yet you have risen above it through your creativity. You are an inspiration, Luke. f/v
Luke Moore replied:
Your comment means a lot to me...thank you for taking the time to leave one on this particular image!
Yumi Johnson
Wonderful image Luke, very powerful statement and late on congratulation on your sale!! f/v
Luke Moore replied:
Much appreciated Yumi! My girlfriend bought this one and it's in our apartment. Looks awesome on the matte finish canvas. It's nice to have something that I worked on very hard, hanging up in my own living space.
Jolanta Anna Karolska
What a powerful statement Luke...brilliantly portrayed...and yes...Lyme Disease is a crippling disease...my friend is suffering with it...and as you say...better days and bad days...superb work! f/v
Luke Moore replied:
Thank you Jolanta! Your comments really hit home, thanks for leaving them here :) I hope your friend gets to a point where she is doing better. I will keep her in my thoughts! I'm doing the best I have done in 7 years, still have bad days and weeks, but have made lot's of progress. Fingers crossed. I really feel like I didn't have any creativity, energy, or headache-free or pain-free days for about 5 years. I've been having so much fun taking photos and thinking in that frame of mind.
George Goulas

Luke, by the way, congratulations on your sale... I did not read far enough down:) I too hope you are managing this OK and that they will invest time and money into research.
Luke Moore replied:
I HOPE so too...there are a number of diseases out there that we need more research on and Lyme Disease is definitely one of those. I'm hoping to create a couple more pieces that are centered around Lyme. We'll see if time and whatever else allows :)
Kaye Menner

Doing ok, doing better than I was several years ago. It's quite a long process for sure. Good days and bad days, good weeks and bad weeks. Finally got to the point more recently where I had more creativity and felt like creating or taking photographs. Kimberleigh- thank you so much for your comment and positive words!
