A moody infrared photograph of the Block Island Southeast Lighthouse. I love the way the light house looks larger than life in this photo. The angle of my camera and the slight distortion / curvature of the lens, gives the Southeast Lighthouse a curving and watchful stance. The pattern of the clouds almost creates a beam of light cutting across the sky.
Southeast Light is located on the southeast corner of Block Island in New Shoreham on the historic Mohegan Bluffs. This Block Island lighthouse was finished in 1874 and included a main tower measuring 67 feet in height.
